To all my friends out there in AnyShinyThingLand, I just received word of my seventy-first subscriber to this blog. Whenever I am notified of a new subscriber, I want to reach out and send you an email saying:
Welcome! Please visit often and comment. Looking forward to hearing from you.
But I don’t know if that would violate your privacy. Some people like to hover below the radar, and I respect that. So I don’t send confirmation or “howdy!” emails.
Still, I want you all to know that I’m honored and thrilled that you are interested enough to get blog posts delivered to your inbox every Friday. I’ll do my best to entertain, inspire and amuse you. I hope you’ll comment back, too, so we can find out what our little community is thinking. Some mornings we’re like a hive of over-caffeinated bees, others like somebody forgot to set the alarm. ZZZZZ. But It’s all good. Just come and hang out.
Can’t wait to hear from you.

I agree with you all and Lynne and Debbie I am “eating my words” spoken boldly and naively at the WD Intensives in 2009:”why in the worlds would I ever care about or benefit from all this social media stuff?? Oh my, how times have changed. My husband has coined a new syndrome called FOMO (fear of missing out)..so Congratulations ,Lynne, you have an awesome, comforting, informative,thought-provoking and funny gathering place here that I am thrilled to be a part of~ I agree, it’s like pulling up a chair at the kitchen table and sharing a cup of coffee with good friends. Love ya, Lynne and all the sistahs that gather here 🙂
Debbie says
Good for you, Lynne! Isn’t it wonderful to have this network of friends who support our efforts, encourage us when we’re down, prod us when we need it, and love us as sistahs?!!

Debbie, Tammy, Vonnie, Java and Baxter Clare, to answer Debbie’s question, it IS wonderful. As a 57-yr-old, I remember the BC days (Before Computers); I love the fact that in 2011 we can create a “neighborhood” in this way. Not that I wouldn’t love to walk down the street of a morning, coffee cup in hand, to pull up a chair at your kitchen table.

Thank you – it’s like meeting a new friend.
Java says

Vonnie says
Congratulations – Lynne!! So glad I found you. 🙂

Lynne, we all love what you have to share. It is always from your heart and honest and vulnerable. Just like you!
