You know how I came down on Jane Fonda for her recent plastic surgery? Maybe this will explain my vehemence. You know what they say, when you point the finger at someone, four fingers are aimed back at you. At least I know how it feels to be a sell-out, so Jane and I can say we’ve been in the same boat.
Thanks to Louise Cady-Fernandes at Lines of Beauty for inviting me to do a guest post. If you haven’t checked out her blog, and you’d like a boost of positivity, I recommend it.

Thanks for your post. I recently had a conversation with a dear friend about cosmetic surgery. We listed all the things we wanted to “refresh”–sagging breasts, eyelids, etc. Then we discussed what those funds could do for someone who didn’t have access to food, education, etc. We both agreed that we were at a certain age and spiritual place that didn’t have room for such luxury problems. We’ve opted to put those funds to their greatest good, but we still covet perky breasts……….

Becca, you aren’t the only one. I used to have the most beautiful legs! But no matter what they look like now, thank God they still allow me to get down on the floor and play with my infant granddaughter. Getting up is a bit harder. I scoop her up, plant my center of gravity and TA DA. I heard that Sharon Osbourne had leg lifts! As in, pulling up the skin on her legs. The things we’ll do! Thanks for stopping by.

What’s to be guilty about in the ordinary scheme of things, Lynne. It’s only human for a woman to get a little excited when a doctor offers something that might perk up the looks a bit! They always make it sound so simple, don’t they?
Great post over on Lines of Beauty. You write what you feel and make us feel it, too. 🙂

Gorgeous guest post — I completely understand and sympathize with your moment of confusion honey — and I am just glad your mouth is back to normal and you were not afflicted with ovarian cancer, my dear. Living is so much more important that looks, but sometimes the best, most centered of us fall prey to some internal/external pressures. You are LOVELY inside and out and I am blessed to know you!
