…and I feel terrible about having deserted you! The truth is, I’m not just a writer. I’m a mother, daughter, wife, board member, etc. I’m prepping my preso for a luncheon speaking engagement, and – but stop. My dad used to say, “Any excuse is a good excuse,” usually just before giving all us four kids the belt over some altercation. Yes, this was in the day when spanking was considered good parenting. But Dad meant that the only thing that mattered was performance. I grew up with that ethic, so – no excuses!

Yikes, Lynne! I’d have had a hissy-fit if I’d been that author! I’ll bet lots of folks get confused on who wrote that book. What a shame — guess it goes to show us that “buyer beware” is an appropriate warning for us all!
