You’re about to see more frequent midlife fiction book recommendations!
Happy Thanksgiving! You’re about to see a bit of a change in these posts, and I wanted to tell you about it.
I recently sent you a couple of book recommendations for midlife fiction I loved. I was thrilled at the enthusiastic response, and it gave me an idea.
Did you know I’ve cultivated an exquisite collection of novels–over sixty titles–featuring older characters? These books are beautiful stories about navigating the second half of life. Because selfishly, that’s what I most want to read, and you seem to want that, too. And of course, all of my writing is about life after 50.
But my collection isn’t getting the attention it deserves, so I’m going to start blogging about the individual books, one recommendation every few days, until I’ve done them all.
This is why I’m giving you a heads-up. You’re about to see an uptick in the number of emails from me. It won’t be a ton, but it’ll be more.
By featuring these novels, I hope to bring attention to the talented authors who wrote them, and to the fact that many great works are about older folks. Using AnyShinyThing.com as a megaphone is my plan. I thank you for believing in me, and in my mission.
