I’m stepping away from AnyShinyThing for a few weeks to finish the sequel to Dakota Blues. Its working title is Key Largo Blues (because guess why.) Thanks for understanding. I will miss you, too, and look forward to visiting again in mid-December. Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh Lynne I am looking forward to reading your next “Blues” book. Happy writing!
Thanks, Pat!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and many blessings to you and your family.
Thank you, Judy. The same to you and your family!
“I’ll catch you on the flip side!”
Happy Thanksgiving!
Sue
I can’t wait to read it!
Thanks, Nicky. 90% of the reason I tell you my plans is because then I have to deliver! Way to keep me on task.
You will be missed, Lynne! But it’s a good choice, since writing books seems such a powerful draw for you. Obviously it’s your passion! Will very much look forward to your arrival back on this page.
Thanks, Diane. I snuck away from writing just now to check my email, and saw your comment. You are right. I am passionate about writing. I LOVE my friendships and the sense of community online, because without you and them, what would be the point of writing?
And yet, when I slip into my story, I can lose track of whether it’s AM or PM, where Bill is, what I’m supposed to be doing, if I’ve missed an appointment or meal or — I just lose my bearings. Just now I was “in” Georgia, at Jekyll Island, golfing. I had the YouTube clip of birdsong going while I was typing. I’m basing this on the memory of a recent trip with Bill. While there, we saw the most amazing bird. It was iridescent blue, metallic like a hummingbird! One encyclopedia says the bird “looks like a scrap of sky with wings.” I thought I was hallucinating, but I looked it up, and it’s an Indigo Bunting. Isn’t that a great name? Here’s a link, although it doesn’t capture the metallic gleam of the feathers, the song is beautiful: https://youtu.be/JJTaV95E9Qg
