It’s not your imagination.I’ve been under the gun, working on my novels as never before. My fourth book is under edit (Goodbye to the Blues, Book 3 in the Karen Grace series) and I’ll soon start a new line: Silver Romance. This will be shockingly different from regular genres of romance, because it’ll be infused with topics that resonate with people over fifty.
At the moment, the working title for the first one is Starting Over in Sedona. I can’t wait to do research!
So instead of blogging here, four times a month, I’ve switched over to a monthly newsletter that I send out using MailChimp. If you haven’t already, you can sign up here to stay in touch, and I hope you will. My newsletters, like this blog, tackle topics about getting older and finding the joy in that; they’re all about empowerment in the second half. I send out one or two a month, so no worries about getting spammed,
Another place I hang out when I can sneak away for five minutes is my Facebook page. Click here to see that. And BTW, if you’re on that FB page, and you click on Photos > Albums > Midlife Fiction, you’ll see I’ve curated a collection of 50 novels by a bunch of great authors in all different genres. What they have in common is that they feature a main character(s) who is an older person. I only list titles I’ve read and enjoyed, and I’m happy to add to it, if you get any leads.
Most of you have already switched to my reader group, so this post is probably unnecessary, but I didn’t want you to wonder where I went. I’m here, typing away, living the dream I carried in my heart for all those years of my career. I am finally, at long last, a writer.
I wish you the greatest joy as you pursue your own dreams in the second half.
